Excerpt

Like the training says, if someone breaks into your house and you kill them it is self-defense; a homeowner has the right to do that. They call it the Castle Precedent, and it changed the way we do everything.

Only Americans patrol our borders. It would be illegal otherwise.

From “Remote Control”, Interzone – Mundane SF Issue – May 2008 (also available from fictionwise.com in mid-2008)

Bio

R. R. Angell was born under a full moon, a telling detail. As a Libran, he is always seeking balance; he rides a unicycle and wishes he could juggle better. You may have seen his work in Asimov's, Interzone, The Baltimore Review, and Gargoyle, among others, and many anthologies including "Sex & Chocolate," "Best Date Ever," and "Stress City," due out in July 2008.

Writing Description

A consuming stench of rotten eggs and sauerkraut, notes of bile and shit, and a disgustingly thin and appealing overlay of fresh-cut meat. Oh wait, that’s an excerpt from my autopsy story in Stress City.

Goals

1 – To write! Okay, get regular again with 5,000 words per week. That’s a lot of paper.

2 – To find sponsors! Flush them out of the bushes. Point. Shoot.

3 – To sleep more than I did at Clarion West! (Hey, I needed something easy here.)
