Excerpt:
There's this story in my head, wanting to break free.Until now I kept it inside of me.A fantastic story, with love and hate, war and death, supernatural stuff and ducks. Although I'm not sure about the ducks yet. [The story will be YA fantasy and in German -- if wanted, I will translate it into English as well; just ask. Although you might have to make some cookies for me then.]
Bio:
The first thing I did in this world was scream and cry.My life hasn't changed so much since that day in 1990.I grew up and went to school in Germany, where I learned reading, writing, calculating and shutting my mouth, just like everyone else. One day I discovered this strange invention called "books" and fell in love with them. Since that day, you've never seen me leaving the house without at least one of them in my bag. Or rucksack, because I don't wear bags; they're girly. And I don't like girly things. Except for unicorns because they are cool. I'd even like pink, sparkling unicorns.Other than that I'm a daydreamer, pizza-lover, and my heart belongs to social work and volunteering.I'm supporting this Write-a-thon because this world would be a lonely, boring place without books -- and we need people to write them. And to get started in writing, some of them might find Clarion West quite helpful.  So basically, without Clarion West this world might end up as a boring, grey, fanciless place. Do you want that to happen? No? See, that's why you should support this Write-a-thon.And because Write-a-thon is a pretty amazing word.
Writing Description:
Moody, imaginary, bright, dark, weird stories filled with love, fights, victories, losses, and lots of heroes and villains.May contain ducks and unicorns.
Writing Goals:
My goal is to finish at least 100-200 pages, which doesn't seem too impossible. That'd be about 2.5-5 pages a day. Or about 20-40 pages on the weekends.Plus a one-page short story about ducks and unicorns.
Fundraising Goals:
Seriously, I'd be happy if I'd get at least $10.I'd die from a heart attack if I'd reach $100.If I reach more than $150, I'll send everyone who donated some money a letter saying thanks, including an autograph, just in case I might be famous one day. Promise.
