Excerpt
One block up, on Mission Street, car headlights, street lamps, and neon signs lit up the night. But in the darkened doorway of my building, Joy’s face had its own bluish-purple luminosity.
“So you’re here to drive fast cars, dance to forbidden music, and have wild passionate sex with as many girls as you can?” I asked.
She smiled. “Ride the cable cars, dance in overpriced clubs, but otherwise, yes.”

Writing Description
I usually write "small" stories about queer characters in near-future SF settings or in contemporary settings with supernatural elements, but occasionally break out with actiony romps and chicklit space opera.
Goals
In order to turn my 18,000 word novella, "The Radical Fairy," into a novel first draft, my goal is to write 5,000 words a week, for each of the six weeks of the Write-a-thon.
