John A. Pitts
Excerpt:
The shop was strange at night, cold with the forge banked and the industrial ventilation turned off. I could smell sweat and smoke baked into the timbers of the place. Julie would be up in her trailer on the back of the lot, but the forge faced the main road. I wasn't exactly isolated, but for a moment, the emptiness scared me.I placed the two halves of Gram on the anvil -- funny how the name filled the blank spot in my brain. It felt right.

Writing Description:
I'm an urban fantasy writer at the moment, but I dabble in many areas. With enough drinks in me, I may even share some of my poetry.
Writing Goals:
My goal for the Write-a-thon is to complete the revisions for my first novel: Redneck Elves. I plan to divide the novel into six equal parts, and wrap each section during that week. I will post my progress on my blog, as well as Livejournal and Facebook. Likely I'll post some work-in-progress.
Fundraising Goals:
This is for a damn good cause. Give what you can, even if it's just moral support. For this exercise, I'd love to raise $20/week. The kicker is going to be, I'll match $20/week on my own if I get that much pledged. Double your money, double your fun.
