Excerpt
"The night of Praline Angel’s last show on earth was also the night she told me her Truth.
"Praline Angel was the biggest and most beautiful Queen to have ever graced Charlie’s stage. But then, I always figured she was probably the biggest and most beautiful Queen to have ever graced any stage."
From the story I wrote for Week 3, "Ladder of Angels."
Bio
Marguerite Croft lives in the California Santa Cruz Mountains where she makes a living as a freelance writer and off-road extreme golf cart driver. She wishes she made her living by making things up and writing them down for other people to read. Her fiction has appeared in fine publications such as Say... what's the combination? and is scheduled to appear in Lisa Snellings-Clark's tiny stories anthology for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. She thrived at the Clarion West Writers Workshop during the summer of 2008. Most importantly, she is the mother of two sons.
Writing Description
My fiction tends to explore relationships. They're the sorts of stories that seem safe on the surface, until you start thinking about them and all the implications that lie underneath. I've published science fiction, horror and fantasy.
Goals
My goal is to write a first draft of the approximately 200 page short novel I outlined with Chuck Palahniuk during my Week 6.
