The screams of strafing fighters made a complex chord while LunĂ¡tico’s guns drummed tight triplets. The music of battle flowed into his heart as he donned his fedora and tapped the button on his collar to synch with the Kinesthetic Drive.
A panorama view of battle played out around them in three dimensions, centered on LunĂ¡tico and the dancers, the edges of a neutrino storm filling the background.
He reached around to cup D’Arienzo’s shoulder blade and then rest his left arm on her right.

Bio
Michael Underwood is a man of multiple shades and dimensions. He sings, he dances, he writes, he fences. He holds an M.A. in Folklore Studies from the University of Oregon and now spends his time studying television, film, comic books, and whatever other cool things catch his attention.
Michael attended Clarion West in 2007, where he concocted bizarre genre combinations and gave bombastic critiques. Currently, he is submitting his novel Shield & Crocus (which started as a short story at Clarion West) for consideration and working on a new novel called Geekomancy.

Writing Description

Goals
I intend to draft three new short stories during the Write-a-thon.
