Excerpt:
It all started with The Mystery of the Gentleman’s Shoe. You are probably asking, "Agatha, what are you talking about? What on Earth is The Mystery of the Gentleman’s Shoe? Have you been inhaling one of Dr. Simpson’s chemistry experiments again?"Which, I must say, is a little bit rude of you.If you have been in a bookshop recently, you won’t have been able to avoid the shelves full of excitable mysteries like The Blue-Trousered League, The Case of the Wizard’s Toenail, or Murder in the Mid-Morning. I expect that you’ve picked up some of the more lurid ones and taken a quick peek, when you thought no one else was looking, and gasped in delighted horror at the terrible murders and dastardly crimes.
