Wendy Bradley

Excerpt
"Your name isn't Jim," she said.
She was human today; female, probably. Beige skin, china blue eyes and bright red hair, red the colour of strawberries. He remembered strawberries. That wasn't right. Strawberries were red, not hair.
"Maybe not," he said. "I could change, too. I'm an amiable guy."
He thought about it for a moment. "Jim's a good name. I could be a Jim."
Bio
I was at Clarion West in 2003. I was the TV critic for Interzone for a while, and also briefly edited and published Farthing magazine. Sigh.
This year I've challenged myself to collect 100 rejections (www.justgiving.com/Wendy-Bradley0) and asked for sponsorship in support of a homelessness charity. So far I'm up to 31 rejections -- but two people have messed up my stats by *buying my stories*. You know that thing they tell you at Clarion West about sending your stuff out...??? Oh! So *that's* what they were talking about!

Upcoming work will appear in Cast of Wonders and Mixer Publishing
Writing Description
Please describe your writing in one or two sentences: Um... mostly in Courier New, except when I have an Arial day.
Goals
42 days, 42,000 words. I shall be using Write or Die and writing in 1,000 word bursts, approximately but not necessarily one a day. I shall post my Write or Die tokens on my blog.
I didn't say they would be good words, I didn't say they would be consecutive words, I didn't say they would, necessarily, be in English. But, by hook or by crook, there will be 42,000 of them.
Now that has to be worth 42p of anybody's money, surely???
