Young Adult Books Galore
I just bought some young adult books that I'm looking forward to reading!
Zahrah the Windseeker by Nnedi Okorafor
Liar by Justine Larbelestier
And from the library:
Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
The Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner
A bunch of my classmates (Eugene Myers, Katherine Sparrow, Cat Rambo, Karen Roberts) write young adult novels, so while they're not what I write, it's nice to keep up with the field that someday will welcome their contributions!

I'm glad you're sampling some of the finer offerings of the field, Rachel! I've read all of these but Zahrah, which I only learned about from the recent interview with Nnedi in the newsletter. I'm looking forward to checking it out. If you ever want some more YA or middle grade recommendations, let me know! I also keep a list of everything I've been reading for the last few years at Goodreads.com.

yay, reccs! I do want them!
I loved hunger games, which my mom and aunt had both enjoyed, but it took you and katie to push me over the edge into "must read!"

Hey guys,
Try The Color of Water. It's really nice... It teaches a lot of lessons and you won't get bored I promise!.
