It appeared to Rebecca as a pillar of twisting fire and black, curling smoke. The flames licked to the ceiling, but did not set fire to it. It stared at her with eyes like scalloped pearls and when it spoke, its mouth was a sear of light and its words rumbled like distant thunder.
Bio
Andrew Penn Romine lives in Los Angeles, where he works in the visual effects and animation industry. He attended Clarion West in 2010.

Writing Description
I write dark fantasy/horror and ocasionally a little science fiction.
Writing Goals
I'm working mainly on my novel this year, and plan to write another 30,000 words on my first draft during the workshop. I also have three short stories in progress that I hope to complete by August.
