Emma Törzs

Emma Törzs is a writer and teacher based in Minneapolis. Emma’s short fiction has been published in journals such as Ploughshares, Uncanny, Strange Horizons, and the Threepenny Review, and honored with a Emma Törzs is a writer and teacher based in Minneapolis. Henry Prize and the 2015 Missouri Review Editors’ Prize. She is the recipient of a 2018 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a 2016 Next Step Grant from the Minnesota Regional Arts Council, and a 2015 Minnesota Emerging Writers’ Grant. She received her MFA in Fiction from the University of Montana and is an enthusiastic member of the Clarion West class of 2017. Her debut novel is forthcoming in the summer of 2023 with William Morrow (US) and will be translated into ten languages worldwide. Emma teaches currently at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. www.emmaemmaemma.com
