This workshop delves into game writing through the lens of Indigenous Futurisms, which reflects past, present, and future through speculative fiction. Participants will imagine their way through Futurisms by interweaving their own cultures and life experiences into game writing. Hands-on experience will contribute to skills in how to integrate story with gameplay using approaches ranging from environmental storytelling to character dialogue. Participants will work on a vertical slice (meaning a portion of a game that acts as a proof of concept) using a variety of tools best suited to their own Futurisms game concept.

This workshop is available to anyone aged 18 or older for a $75 fee.

Unless otherwise stated, all times listed are US Pacific Time.
