You might be familiar with the “plotter vs. pantser” dichotomy–someone who plans out their story down to scenes, vs. someone who writes by whim. But we can learn a great deal from each technique. Writing requires an interesting balance of creating limitations and exercising boundless imagination. This workshop will explore freeform brainstorming practices and the power of an outline–providing an opportunity for participants to experiment with freewriting and plot outlining. As a recently reformed pantser, I find value in both structured plotting and freeform idea generating. Participants may walk away with usable ideas, but the intention is to experiment with writing tools that may be applied to future writing projects.

This workshop is available to anyone aged 18 or older for a $55 fee.

Unless otherwise stated, all times listed are US Pacific Time.
