We are pleased to announce a new scholarship for the Clarion West Six-Week Workshop: the R.S. Blum Feminist and Gender Fiction Writer Scholarship for writers addressing feminism and gender issues as a primary focus of their work.
We have some intriguing classes this spring, and our volunteer editor Mark Chavez was kind enough to share his breakdown on what he’s looking forward to taking!

November 10, 1975 – September 23, 2025 It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Jon Lasser, on Tuesday, September 23. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2019, and most recently was hospitalized due to breathing difficulties, subsequently moving to home hospice and then inpatient hospice….
