Clarion West is a nonprofit writing workshop with a very small staff. Every summer we seek alumni who can volunteer to help with our many summer events. In addition, we have a number of volunteer roles year-round. Please email us if you are interested in any of the volunteer positions below.
We are looking for someone to help us update and add to our contacts list for sending out the call for applications every November. This is a short-term position that will be primarily updating addresses, names, and looking for other relevant locations to send the Call for Applications. Help us find more writers!
Clarion West is a growing nonprofit with year-round activity. We are seeking a volunteer grant writer to assist with managing grant proposals, reporting, and deadlines.
Clarion West manages a large database of volunteers, donors, and alumni. We always need help inputting information to keep our records up to date. In addition, we are creating a database to highlight alumni published works. We seek a detail oriented individual who can assist with entering data in Salesforce, WordPress, and Excel.
Video Content Management
Clarion West video tapes all of our interviews and readings. These need to be prepared to go on our Youtube Channel and Closed Caption added for each years’ programming.
Clarion West is always seeking an extra set of eyes to edit our newsletters and other publications prior to release to the public.
Board Member/Committee Member
The Clarion West Board of Directors is always interested in hearing from individuals who are passionate about the literary arts and speculative fiction to serve on the board of directors or on a board committee. Our committees include fundraising, human resources, and finance, amongst others. Let us know if you are interested and why.
