I am finishing up the novella and 3 unpublished short stories for my Tower of the Rosewater Goblet collection of (mostly published) short stories, novelettes and the novella. The collection will be published in late 2025.

Even though I can’t go to Clarion West, it’s been a terrific experience for many I know, and I want to see it continue and flourish. I appreciate the community CW has built!

I’m planning on writing my novel this summer and this write-a-thon is a wonderful way to give me the external motivation I need as well as helping a worthy cause. Clarion West is a unique experience. It helped me become a much stronger writer and editor, though I use those skills outside SFF. I want others to continue to have this opportunity to hone their skills and explore the possible paths together.

In 2017, I attended the Clarion West six-week workshop, and it changed my life in many wonderful ways: it gave me time and space to write, read, and engage with other writers; connected me to the community; and, most importantly, connected me to many people who are now my dear friends. I find it hard to express just how much Clarion West has meant to me, which is why I’m honored to raise funds for the important work Clarion West continues to do.

I’m in awe of the transformations that occur during the Clarion West workshop, and delight in the short stories, poems, and novels of Clarion West graduates. I’d like to make the six-week-program, and the one-day workshops, available to as many new writers as possible.
