New Week Four instructor: Susan Palwick

Clarion West is sorry to have to announce a change in this year’s instructor lineup.  Connie Willis is temporarily unable to travel for health reasons, and will not be able to teach Week Four this year.

Stepping in for her is Susan Palwick, the award-winning author of Mending the Moon and The Fate of Mice. Her work has been a finalist for the World Fantasy, Locus, and Mythopoeic Awards, and her first novel, Flying in Place, won the Crawford Award for best first fantasy novel.  She is an accomplished instructor who teaches creative writing and literature at the University of Nevada. She will be reading at the University Book Store on July 14 as part of the Clarion West Summer Reading Series.

We wish Connie Willis all the best with her recovery, and are very grateful to Susan Palwick for being able to step in at the last minute.  This workshop has been a fantastic one so far, and we thank you all for your support.
