Recommended Reading for Native American Heritage Month

Today, on the final day of Native American Heritage Month, we want to take a moment to acknowledge some of the Indigenous speculative authors that make up the genre. The voices of these authors, and of so many others that we may not have listed, are vital to our community. We encourage you to read their work and let us know who else we might add to this evolving collection.

Clarion West’s offices and programs take place in Seattle on the unceded lands of the Duwamish and Coast Salish peoples. These lands are occupied without treaty. We encourage you to consider donating to the tribes and nations on whose land you make your home. Compensation begins with programs like Real Rent Duwamish.

We know these words are only a small gesture, and we will continue striving to grow our support of Indigenous SFFH writers in line with our mission as we move forward.
